What is Earth Day?
The first “Earth
Day” was celebrated on 22 April 1970 in America. The Americans called on all
the people on earth to take care of the earth. They wanted people to use the
forests, rivers, mountains and earth carefully so that the earth will remain
useful to our next generations to come. They felt that the forests, land, sea
and wildlife were being exploited without any thought for the future.
Earth Day is a day
of celebration. It is celebrate with speeches, poster drawing competition and
other contests to let people know about important to caring the earth.
